Supermicro Expands Certified Server Portfolio for SAP HANA on VMware vSAN

Supermicro has announced the addition of two newly certified servers for SAP HANA, running on VMware vSAN.

Newly Certified Servers

Supermicro, a leading server designer and manufacturer, has successfully tested and certified two server models—SYS-2029U-E1CRT and SYS-6029U-E1CRT4—for SAP HANA and VMware vSAN environments.

These servers are powered by the latest 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and utilize Intel Optane Persistent Memory to deliver maximum performance.

Certification Testing Details

The certification testing was conducted using:

SAP HANA 2.0

Running on VMware vSphere 6.7

With storage configured as Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) using VMware vSAN 6.6

The solution supports scalability of up to 64 nodes, enabling a total memory capacity of up to 192 TB, making it suitable for large-scale enterprise workloads.
